Hello my dears and belated Happy New Year! Today I will show you three outfit ideas from my Polyvore page, with one of my favourite wardrobe staples, the winter white denim. But first, let’s chat a bit! 🙂
How was your Christmas/New Year’s Eve? I hope you all had a great time during holidays! For me, it was wonderful. I spent my time between my family and beloved ones, resting at home with my love, watching our all-time-favorite movies, playing the piano and drinking hot chocolate. What better than this? Getting to spend the holidays with my beloved ones feels always like a blessing and I could not imagine any more positive way to step into 2016.
However, I indulged a lot in the comfiness of my new home-sweet-home (still can’t get enough of it) and it’s time to get out on the streets for action! And that means photo shoots! 🙂
Winter White Denim
Now regarding the winter white denim… Well first, let’s break this dumb fashion rule that says “Don’t wear white after Labor Day”. I have my points here:
- Coco Chanel was wearing white herself all year long!
- How else do you explain the term “winter whites”?
- And why is a crisp white blouse on every single must-have wardrobe items?
- Don’t get me started on white sneakers & my oversized white sweater.
- A total white outfit looks angelic, elegant and luxurious.
When it comes to white shoes, they are quite tricky to keep clean during the winter months. However they give such a beautiful touch of lightness in a dull winter outfit, which totally worths the hassle.
Tip: Seek out light! White garments look always more see-through in the daylight. Make sure that you check yourself on a very bright setting in order to be safe. Also avoid linen, seersucker and other very summer-specific fabrics during winter. You can wear white shoes as long as they are not peep-toe or strappy.
I hope you enjoyed my post and styling ideas, and I can’t wait to read your thoughts and styling ideas with winter white denim at the comments section. Which look did you like the most?
My best wishes for a happy, healthy, creative and prosperous 2016 for you and your beloved ones!
