Are you holding on to your favourite summer dresses every year around this time? Me too and I am coming with good news. Today I show you two ways to transition a summer dress into fall.
My go to way to transition a summer dress into fall is to create a bold contrast between colours and textures, like I did here. In order to transition this baby doll/preppy/romantic style dress, I added an edgy twist with the black moto jacket and the iconic Balenciaga boots. I finished the look with the timeless Chanel boy bag (check outfit details below for second hand options), which also adds to the edgy vibe with its black color and metallic accents.
The second way is to replace the leather jacket with a knitted cardigan for a soft, more romantic tone if you wish to balance the edgy. I added this slouchy cardigan to my fall wardrobe recently and I already can’t have enough of it, since pieces like this go with everything and are a must-have for fall.
