The turtleneck sweater is my most enduring wardrobe staple ever since I can remember. Perhaps it’s not as sexy as a silk cami, but it’s definitely the ultimate layering piece. And of course pairing a slip dress and turtleneck, creates a perfect balance for a classy, sexy and feminine look.
This kind of styling may be simple but it’s a genius way to extend your summer wardrobe and to incorporate the idea of mixing seasons. If it’s too cold, you can wear a pair of jeans or any other pair of trousers underneath your slip dress, or wear a chunkier, longline turtleneck sweater above it.
You can definitely play a lot with styling here. I have also worn this slip dress layered with a white crisp shirt and white sneakers when I bought it in Rome a couple of months ago.
Layering a slip dress is the easiest way to rock the 90s fashion trend in 2016. Have you tried wearing slip dress and turtleneck yet?
If you are a fan of slip dresses and turtleneck sweaters as I am, and don’t have one in your closet yet, make sure to shop some of my favorite picks in the widgets below. They are both pieces you will not get enough wearing!
On another note, I can’t believe that it is middle November and I can still go out like this, without any additional layers on my outfit. Last week the temperature was 28 Celsius degrees which is extreme, even for Greece. Thankfully we are traveling next week so I will get to wear my favourite coats and feel some iced cold air against my skin again! 😀
Thanks so much for reading and have a great rest of the week!
