You probably know by now how much I love shirts with ruffles and dramatic details (exhibit a, b, c and the list goes on). When I saw this black frill shirt I had to get my hands on it. And in reality it was even better!
I loved the cotton rich fabric of this shirt, the ruffle overlay on the neckline and oversized fit which give a dramatic tone. But what I enjoy the most on my new black frill shirt is that I can have it on repeat, as I can wear it throughout my pregnancy (the amount of fabric is so generous that can hide two bumps not only one), as well as afterwards. Furthermore, black color is always a good idea while pregnancy, because it makes you look thinner, so despite its extravagant volume, this shirt doesn’t make me look big. For example, I would not even think about wearing it if it was pink or floral at this moment.
I wore this look during Paris Fashion Week day two, to attend Alexstorm show and have a casual dinner with the girls afterwards. I was feeling too tired that day and wanted something stylish but as easy as possible. I wore my black frill shirt with a pair of maternity jeans, low heel red boots and my pink Chanel bag to add some fun color comb pop between red and pink. Which by the way is one of the first bold color combs I intend to wear post pregnancy. I know that if I dare to wear a total pink-red outfit now, I will most certainly look like a big buoy.
As for the red boots, they are undoubtedly the hottest shoe trend of this season, so scroll down to see many options of red boots that I selected for you. There’s no surprise that they are considered the must-have shoes for this fall as they add the perfect color pop to any outfit, they have low heels so they are comfortable, and the pointy toe adds height. Would you wear them?
That’s all for today! Happy Friday, have a great start to the weekend and thanks for stopping by.
